How Much Does Editing Cost?

I aim to provide good value for money for all my clients. The cost of your project will be calculated based on the amount of time that I estimate it will take to do the work. This is where the free 500-word sample edit comes in – you can get an example of how I work and how I can help you, and I can get a feel for the text and estimate the time needed and the price.

The price ranges for my services can be seen below:

Proofreading:    £4.50 – £8 per 1,000 words

Copy-editing:    £6 – £16 per 1,000 words

Book review:    from £75

A piggy bank wearing reading glasses sits near a green apple on top of a stack of multi colored books. For educational, children and school purposes, the abstract image is isolated on a white background and contains a clipping path to easily make a selection of the image and use separately as a design element.

How do I pay?

For UK clients I require project fees up to and including £200 in advance. Where a project fee exceeds £200, half will be payable upfront as deposit and the remainder will be payable within 14 days of the client receiving the edited file.

For non-UK clients, all projects fees are payable in advance.

Payments can be made by bank transfer, PayPal or cheque (additional third party fees may apply).
